The introduction of the much-anticipated Cabriolet in 1983 and the replacement of the 911SC with the 3.2-liter Carrera the next year secured the Porsche 911 its place in history. It was still very much a hand-built sports car, and that famous direct steering feel, world class braking, and, of course, that magical raspy, metallic engine note of the air-cooled flat-six remained. The combination of both old and new marks the mid-1980s Carrera 3.2 as the most accessible, yet classic, generation of the timeless Porsche 911.

Built in Grand Prix White over a Black leather interior and matching canvas top, this Carrera Cabriolet was imported from new to southern Florida directly from Germany and converted to DOT and EPA standards in early 1985. It has remained in south Florida ever since, and service documents going back to importation reveal the considerable attention the three owners have given it.
