Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
“Jeep has been the world leader in 4WD system design for more than 45 years. All those years, and more than four million vehicles later, the toughness, performance, and dependability is still there.” Jeep’s statement in the 1984 brochure may seem bold, but the CJ-7 more than backed up that claim.
Produced from 1976 through 1986, the CJ-7 was built bigger: 144 inches long, with a 93.5-inch wheelbase that was a full 10 inches longer than the CJ-5’s. This length not only improved the legroom but gave the CJ-7 better handling and a more stable ride. A durable inline-six engine was CJ-7’s standard powertrain; it bolted to a three-speed or optional four-speed manual transmission. Also, an optional automatic with full-time Quadra-Trac four-wheel drive was offered for the first time. As production continued, front disc brakes appeared in 1977, and in 1978 a fully boxed frame became standard.
This nice 1984 Jeep CJ-7 wears straight bodywork featuring Renegade graphics, complemented by chrome wheels. Inside sits high-back bucket seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, and classic Jeep gauges. And under hood the stalwart inline six awaits, ready to send power through Jeep’s famous four-wheel drive system to get you anywhere you’d like to go.
