1984 Cadillac Seville Driving POV
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The Seville, introduced in May 1975 as a ’76 model, was Cadillac's answer to the rising popularity of European luxury imports from Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and BMW. General Motors was becoming concerned that the division's once-vaunted image as the "standard of the world" was fading, especially among younger generations of car buyers. So, it flipped its strategy and offered the Seville, which became the smallest and most expensive model in the lineup.
Taking styling cues from the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, Cadillac stylists added a crisp, angular body that set the tone for GM styling for the next decade. A wide-track stance gave the Seville a substantial, premium appearance, and its most distinctive (and divisive) feature was its razor-edged, bustle-back rear end, which was designed to give it a lower, leaner, and wider appearance. By the time the second-generation Seville arrived for the 1980 model year, it had become front-wheel drive.
Sevilles, like this two-owner 1984 model, offer an instantly recognizable profile and a surprisingly modern driving experience, making them excellent choices for weekend touring or, should one desire, daily driving.

Ownership History
The Arizona owner of this 1984 Cadillac Seville bought it from the original owner’s estate in late 2023. The consignor believes it sat for 23 years in a closed garage. Due to the car's two decades of inactivity, many of the mechanicals and rubber bushings, fuel lines, and gaskets were replaced.
