Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The Mercedes-Benz R107 unveiled in 1971, marked a significant evolution in the SL series, following the cherished W113 "Pagoda." Designed as a luxurious grand tourer, the R107 offered a serene driving experience with front and rear suspensions are independent, providing the driver with excellent handling qualities and a smooth ride. If you prefer to feel the wind in your hair, the convertible top can be quickly stowed behind the seats. Alternatively, if you prefer a quiet and elegant closed coupe, the removable hardtop can be locked down to create a two-seater. The initial North American lineup featured the 3.5-liter 350 SL and the more powerful 4.5-liter 450 SL, but due to stricter emissions regulations, the 450 was eventually replaced by the 3.8-liter 380 SL, which had a smaller V8 engine but with nearly similar power ratings from 1981 to 1985. Over its impressive 18-year run, the R107 underwent various refinements and engine updates, solidifying its status as a versatile and appealing choice for collectors.
