1981 Chevrolet Corvette Walk Around Video
Description
The third generation (C3) Corvette was introduced in 1968 and featured a sleek new design that was heavily inspired by the Mako Shark II concept, designed by Larry Shinoda. This new generation also boasted a completely redesigned interior, which helped the third-generation Corvette achieve new sales records for General Motors. Available in Coupe or Convertible models, the curvy exterior design is highlighted by the iconic pop-up headlights that are concealed via a vacuum-operated system. The C3 utilized many of the already-proven chassis components from the previous generation, providing independent suspension and a range of powerful V8 engines. In 1980, the front and rear bumper covers were restyled with brand-new integrated aerodynamic spoilers that significantly reduced drag and increased radiator airflow. The C3 Corvette is a true American icon and is favored by many as one of America's most famous sports cars, known for its accessibility and dependability.
