Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The sixth generation of the Ford F-Series, known as the "dentside Ford," was produced from 1973 to 1979 and is recognized for its distinctive design changes and features. In 1978, Ford updated the front-end styling by replacing the split grille with a larger single-piece grille that no longer integrated the headlamps or turn signals; instead, the headlamps were placed in outboard housings, with turn signal lamps located beneath them. A new chrome-plated Ford callout adorned the hood above the grille, enhancing its visual appeal. The Custom trim level featured round headlamps, while higher trims like the Ranger, Ranger XLT, and Ranger Lariat offered rectangular headlamps with optional chrome bezels and grille inserts. Additionally, dual fuel tanks became standard, increasing convenience for drivers and contributing to the generation's enduring popularity among commercial users.
