The popularity of America’s Sports Car, the Chevrolet Corvette, exploded during the 1970s, so much so that Chevy's St. Louis plant could barely keep up. It was all thanks to the Corvette’s wonderful combination of sleek styling, V8 power, and handling prowess.
The 1975 model year saw the first fundamental shift in Corvette’s design pattern since the C3 debuted in 1968. The Corvette once again received changes to its bumpers: both front and rear were given a pair of mini bumperettes (for minor contacts), and the rear was now a single piece plastic affair. The coupe featured removable T-tops, while the convertible option would be the last Corvette ragtop until 1986.
Mechanically, the car was equipped with a 350-cubic-inch V8 engine in two versions and was available with a four-speed manual gearbox or a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. In addition, it received a catalytic converter with some basic sound-deadening and “High Energy” electronic ignition.
“With Corvette, it's hard to know where to start,” declared the car’s 1975 sales brochure. “That's because a Corvette has the ability to become exactly what its owner hopes it will be: A superb road car; a stunning style anywhere; a means to good times, good places, good things.”

Ownership History
This 1975 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe was a father-son restoration project that began earlier this year, but work stopped due to other priorities. The Corvette’s mechanicals, interior, wheels, and tires are set; the exterior still needs work.
