1973 Oldsmobile Omega Two-Door Coupe Start Up and Walk Around Video
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Although the Oldsmobile brand left us two decades ago, the Lansing, Michigan-based General Motors division was cruising in the early 1970s. Looking to keep that momentum going, Oldsmobile executives utilized badge engineering to add the entry-level Omega in 1973. As one of several X-body Chevrolet Nova clones — along with the Buick Apollo and Pontiac Ventura (which was unveiled two years earlier) — the Omega shared the Nova’s body and many of its mechanicals, but it had distinctive front and rear styling, along with more ornate trim, including woodgrain trim on its Nova-based dash. Oldsmobile advertising described it as “a whole new kind of Olds. Omega is a compact, but with Olds big-car thinking built in.”
