Description

The C3 Corvette was introduced in 1968 with a sleek, curved design that resembled the shape of a Coca-Cola bottle. It had a variety of powerful V8 engines to choose from and came in two body styles: Convertible or Coupe. The Coupe featured removable T-top roof panels. The third-generation Corvette also featured a completely redesigned interior, with an extensive list of options available. This helped the C3 to become one of General Motors' best-selling vehicles. The exterior changes were subtle until 1973, when the chrome front bumper was replaced with a body-colored urethane bumper cover. A year later, a two-piece tapering urethane bumper cover was added to the rear. Many people consider the C3 Corvette an American icon and one of the most accessible and reliable sports cars in the country.
