Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Following the immense success of the Pontiac GTO, Chevrolet Malibu SS, and Oldsmobile 442, General Motors gave all of its A-body muscle car offerings a complete redesign for the 1968 model year. Among them was the four and two-door Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, with the latter being shortened to a 112-inch wheelbase. The Supreme now represented the top of the Oldsmobile range, available in Holiday Sedan, Hardtop Coupe, and Convertible body styles, all powered by a capable "L34" Rocket four-barrel 350 cu-in V8 backed by a three-speed manual or optional Turbo-Hydramatic transmissions. For 1969, Oldsmobile introduced a distinctive front-end design that would define the Cutlass through 1972. The 1970 model saw further refinements with updated body panels and rooflines. This fresh new sheet metal helped propel the brand to third place in U.S. sales by 1972.
