1969 VW Frazer Nash Replica
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
For a land often shrouded in fog and rain, the British understand open air motoring. Archibald Frazer-Nash certainly did. He manufactured traditional British sports cars starting in 1922, and after 1927 another company, AFN Limited, continued the tradition until 1957. Small, light, and fast, they were fierce competitors on the racetrack. Still, Frazer Nash cars were rare, just 85 were built after World War II, and fewer still survive. But thanks to the miracle of fiberglass and the popularity of the Volkswagen Beetle, Frazer Nash replicas have been around since the early 1970s. That’s because the VW body can easily be separated from the chassis, leaving all the mechanical components attached.
This 1934 Frazer Nash replica is based on the simple, reliable platform of a 1969 Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle. With a lightweight fiberglass body it performs in the Frazer Nash tradition with the 53 horsepower rear-mounted Beetle engine. Wire wheels, including two side-mount spares like the original Frazer Nash, complete the authentic look. With the convenience of easy maintenance and VW reliability this Frazer Nash replica is all about the joy of open-air motoring.
