Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Hagerty Marketplace is honored to offer a selection of vehicles from the SugarCreek Collection. This private collection in southeastern Ohio is supported by its own in-house restoration and maintenance shop, with a full-time staff of craftsmen. The garage is a true spectrum of car enthusiast dreams, ranging from unfinished restorations to the most recent SEMA-exhibited 1,000 horsepower 1962 Dodge Power Wagon. Sixteen select cars from the collection are being offered in time for the holidays. Whether awaiting restoration, preserved showroom stock, restored to like-new, or tastefully modified, these cars and trucks are truly SugarCreek quality.
Under the leadership of Chevrolet General Manager John Z. DeLorean, the muscle car wars witnessed an unprecedented array of performance options in 1969 for various Chevrolet models, including Camaros, Chevelles, Impalas, and Novas. Aesthetically, the 1969 Chevy Nova changed little from its ’68 sibling; there was now a Chevrolet emblem on the grille, Nova script on the deck lid, larger front marker lights, and optional louvers on the front fenders, and Nova maintained its two-model lineup and came as a two-door coupe and four-door sedan.
For enthusiasts seeking greater power, the Nova SS variant provided 350- or 375-horsepower versions of the big-block 396 V8. Although the SS396 was the highest performing model in Nova history, the factory engine in this 1969 Chevrolet Nova SS has been swapped for a more powerful 454 cu-in V8 generating 400+ horsepower. After the car was purchased by the SugarCreek Collection in 2012, it immediately underwent a full restoration that was completed in 2014, and the Nova has been driven only 1,100 miles since.
