1969 Chevrolet Camaro Pro Touring Walk Around and Engine Idle
Description
The first-generation Camaro proved to be a worthy answer to Ford’s Mustang—despite the two-year wait—with strong sales and Trans-Am Series wins. First launched in 1967, the new Camaro was available with 80 factory options and an additional 40 dealer accessories which included engines ranging from the entry-level 230 cu-in inline-six to the potent 396 cu-in V8.
In 1969, Chevy made the two-year-old Camaro’s design more aggressive with new, squared-off wheel arches, a V-shaped grille, vented rear quarter panels, and a sleek rear valance panel. Thanks to these changes, the 1969 model is considered to be the Camaro high water mark by many enthusiasts. And thanks to the continued popularity of these beautiful Camaros, many have been restored and modified with larger engines, performance upgrades, and cosmetic enhancements.
This LS1-powered Pro Touring 1969 Camaro underwent a comprehensive build in 2008, and the chassis, front clip, drivetrain, suspension, interior, and body panels have been replaced with new components. Now, its next owner will be able to enjoy it for a long time to come.
