Rod Saboury-built 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Pro Street Cold Start and Walk Around
Description
Rod Saboury is a Pro Street legend. As Motor Trend once wrote, “If you're a big Corvette fan, or just a lover of the Chevy brand in general, the name Rod Saboury should be more than familiar to you. Over the years, the Manchester, Maryland, native has been featured in many publications, including Hot Rod, Super Chevy, and of course Car Craft magazine. His high-horsepower, massively motor-vated street/strip builds are world renowned, and it's through these motorized marvels he's been able to etch his name into the record books on more than one occasion (eight times to be exact)!”
Saboury’s “canvas” is always Corvettes and Camaros. Some are extreme, like his well-known 1953 Corvette racer, which he used to break into a 6-second quarter mile pass back in the ’90s. Others, like this 1967 Corvette convertible, retain the essence of the iconic Sting Ray. The body and interior have been restored to factory original, but there is a ZZ502 crate engine, TREMEC five-speed transmission, and full tube coil-over chassis to turn those giant Mickey Thompson tires stuffed under the rear fenders.
Considering that Rod Saboury typically builds one of his Pro Street masterpieces every two years, the opportunity to own one of his legends is rare indeed.
