Description
The Ford Mustang was launched in April 1964, and it became one of the most popular and affordable sporty cars with over 417,000 units sold in its first year. The Mustang's success led Ford to refine it further for the 1966 model year, with a new front grille design and a choice of Coupe, Convertible, or Fastback models. Buyers could choose from different engine options, including an inline six-cylinder engine or a 289 cubic inch V8 engine, to suit their performance preferences and budget. The 1966 Mustang came with standard bucket seats, and it continued to win the hearts of Americans, as Ford sold an incredible 600,000 Mustangs that year. The Mustang's success in 1966 laid the foundation for its reputation as a symbol of American muscle and performance, paving the way for future generations.
