1966 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Coupe Driving POV Video
Description
Like an artist’s palate, Chevrolet’s option list for the 1966 Corvette Sting Ray allowed a buyer to create their own personal masterpiece. Stylish coupe or the more popular convertible bodies. Four engines were available from milder 327 cu-in to wild 427 cu-in powerplants. A three-speed manual was standard, but most opted for the four-speed stick shift or two-speed Powerglide automatic. Air conditioning, AM/FM radio, and more for comfort. Then there were colors from Tuxedo Black to Ermine White and a rainbow of choices in between, with matching or contrasting interiors.
This highly optioned 1966 Corvette Sting Ray Coupe is an older restoration, but one that was done very correctly, as evidenced by two “Second Flight” awards from the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS), judged to be 85.2 to 88.7 percent of “as the car left the factory of origin.” Factory documentation is required to earn a Flight award, so you can be certain this Corvette left St. Louis with the 300 horsepower 327 cu-in engine, Powerglide transmission, air conditioning, and more. Finished in Nassau Blue paint and White vinyl interior, this is a striking work of Corvette art.
