Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The options list for Chevrolet's 1966 Corvette Sting Ray was so extensive that you could almost say that no two Sting Rays were alike. Buyers could choose a stylish coupe or convertible, four V8 engines were available — from the milder 327 cubic-inch mill to the 425-horsepower 427 — and while a three-speed manual transmission was standard, most opted for the four-speed manual or two-speed Powerglide automatic. In addition, you could get air conditioning, AM/FM radio, and other amenities, as well as choose from a rainbow of exterior colors, along with matching or contrasting interiors. The C2 also received minor styling updates, including a revised grille and new rocker panel moldings.
This restored 1966 Corvette Coupe wears Sunfire Yellow paint, iconic dual side exhaust, optional knockoff wheels, Goldline tires, and black vinyl bucket seats. And under the hood is a 454 cubic-inch big-block V8 engine — dressed to appear as the original 427 Turbo Jet V8 — mated to a modern Tremec five-speed manual transmission.
