1959 Chevrolet Biscayne Hot Rod Start Up and Walkaround

1959 Chevrolet Biscayne Hot Rod Engine Idle
Description
Nineteen-fifty-nine marked another home run for Chevrolet Motor Division's styling department, featuring a new stream-lined body and a radically designed tail section inspired by the rocket age flanked by distinctive "cat's-eye" taillights. The 1959 Chevrolet full-size passenger car line-up consisted of four models: Biscayne, Brookwood station wagon, Bel Air, and the Impala. Back then, buyers had nine engine options, ranging from the thrifty 235 inline-six to the fire-breathing 348 Tri-power V8.
Starting life equipped with the standard 235 inline-six, the current owner has given this 1959 Chevrolet Biscayne a thrilling transformation. It now features a performance small block V8 engine rated at 550 horsepower mated to a modern five-speed manual transmission. The Biscayne was treated to modern amenities such as air conditioning, power disc brakes, and a custom stereo system. Together, these upgrades breathe new life into the 1959 Chevrolet Biscayne, blending iconic 1950's styling with the precision of a modern power train. Whether cruising the boulevard or driving through the countryside, this tasteful Biscayne commands attention wherever it goes.
