Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Old school meets new! It’s a classic 1957 Chevy Bel Air all right, one of the most iconic American automobiles ever, well-restored inside and out. Underneath, the Art Morrison GT Sport chassis features four-wheel coil-over suspension, power rack-and-pinion steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes with drilled rotors. Morrison claims their chassis features a stable roll center, contemporary stance, improved camber control, and optimum ground clearance that delivers contemporary driving dynamics. Then add a Chevrolet Performance Ram Jet 350 cu-in powerplant producing 351 HP backed by a four-speed automatic transmission. Inside, the tastefully upgraded interior features a chrome tilt steering column, Classic Instruments speedometer and gauges, Vintage Air climate control, and four-speaker sound. This is another classic Chevy Bel Air from The Roger Boman Collection packed with attention to detail, like the billet interior hardware and the trunk-mounted battery housed in a “Genuine Chevrolet” cooler. School was never this much fun!
This lot is offered Without Reserve from The Roger Boman Collection, which comprises 27 vehicles ranging from European to American classics. Many examples within the collection feature Mr. Boman’s standard modification “formula,” including but not limited to the addition of disc brakes, air conditioning, modern fuel injection, and many other custom touches seen by countless enthusiasts around the Fresno, California area who shared the late owner’s passion for this unique assortment of automobiles.
