Description
In the aftermath of World War II, the United Kingdom faced profound challenges, with widespread destruction and scarcity gripping the nation. Rolls-Royce, emblematic of British luxury and craftsmanship, confronted this new reality by adapting its illustrious pre-war models to fit the new social and economic climate in the post-war era. Debuting in late 1946 as the marque’s first post-war offering, the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith was built upon a shortened 127 inch wheelbase derived from the pre-war Wraith, which underwent reinforcement to accommodate up to date features such as coil-spring independent front suspension and a live rear axle with semi-elliptical springs. Despite the challenges of the post-war period, the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith emerged as a symbol of British craftsmanship and luxury, showcasing the enduring spirit of the marque.
