Modified 1947 Ford Super Deluxe Woody Wagon
Description
As the world transitioned from wartime production back to consumer goods, Ford reintroduced its pre-war models with some updates and improvements. The Super Deluxe was the top trim level, offering more luxury and features compared to the Standard and Deluxe models.
The 1947 Super Deluxe featured a distinctive design with a prominent grille, integrated headlights, and a sleek, streamlined body. It was available in various body styles, including the popular Woody Wagon, which was known for its wooden body panels and spacious interior. Super Deluxe models were equipped with a 239 cubic-inch V8 engine, and inside they featured a well-appointed dashboard with a clock and radio, as well as seats unholstered in high-quality cloth or leather.
This ’47 Super Deluxe Woody Wagon underwent a full restoration in 2005 that included swapping the original engine for a more powerful Chevy 350, and the car received consistent, meticulous care from its adoring former owner for nearly two decades. Other upgrades included automatic transmission, power steering, aftermarket air conditioning, and fresh paint, new vinyl roof, and new Ash and Mahogany wood inside and out.
