Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Following the end of World War II in September 1945, civilian car production in America slowly resumed with most manufacturers restyling their pre-war designs. Ford picked up the 1942 model where it had left off, albeit with a wholly refreshed exterior featuring a new horizontal grille and wider hood for the 1946 model year. Also new was its 239 cu-in engine previously used in Mercury's and Ford trucks, capable of 100 horsepower. Fords of this generation are attractive cars, beloved for their distinctive 1940s styling cues and exceptional color schemes and remain highly sought after today to enjoy in factory specification or as the basis for a custom build like the car on offer.
