Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

“Why you’ll pick a Packard for 1939.” For buyers the answer was simple: “You’ll pick the finest name in motoring!” Packard was easily the peer of Cadillac, Lincoln, and Chrysler, created in the time-lost philosophy of uncompromising engineering and craftsmanship. For 1939 Packard continued their 17th Series in three basic models, the V12-powered “Twelve,” the straight-eight “Super Eight,” and the 110 Series “Six.”

The least costly Packard was the Six Business Coupe starting at $880. Business Coupes were typically low-cost, two-door, two- or three-passenger cars with a storage area behind the seat, designed for traveling salesmen or people just wanting basic transportation. Not at Packard! This Six Business Coupe rides on a luxurious 122 inch wheelbase and has the same craftsmanship and attention to detail as any other Packard. Power is by a smooth 245 cu-in inline six producing 100 hp mated to a three-speed manual transmission. Inside is sumptuous gray broadcloth upholstery and real wood trim. Beautifully restored, resplendent in Arctic Blue Metallic paint, this 1939 Packard Six Business Coupe makes a statement: You’ve picked the finest name in motoring.
