1935 Morgan F-2 Race Car Driving
Description
The Morgan F-Series Three-Wheeler, produced from the mid-1930s to 1952, represented a significant evolution for the iconic Morgan brand. Departing from its traditional reliance on V-twin motorcycle engines, the F-Series adopted Ford 8 and 10 horsepower sidevalve engines, providing enhanced performance and reliability. Featuring a new pressed-steel chassis, the F-Series offered improved structural integrity and durability. The lineup included the four-seater F-4, introduced in 1933, followed by the two-seat F-2 in 1935. As Morgan increasingly focused on four-wheeled car production, three-wheeler production gradually declined until 1952 when the last F-Series model, the F Super, rolled off the assembly line. Subsequently, the company shifted its focus exclusively to 4-wheeled designs until the revival of the “3 Wheeler” concept with the introduction of the Morgan “3 Wheeler” in 2012, marking a nostalgic return to the brand's heritage.
