Description

The resilient J2 Midget laid the groundwork for the future of MG sports cars. While England's Morris Garages had produced numerous agile vehicles before, the J2 introduced a formula that would define the company's direction for the next two decades. Upon its debut in 1932, the two-seater J2 impressed with its agility, affordability, and sheer enjoyment – qualities that endure to this day. Like its contemporaries, the J2 made the most of its spritely 36 horsepower and simple chassis construction, deftly navigating corners with its half-elliptic springing and narrow tires. Popular among club racers of its time, the J2 boasted exceptional handling and steering by the standards of the day. Although MG manufactured the J2 for just three years, from 1932 to 1934, the essence of its spirited driving experience can be enjoyed in well-kept examples like the car on offer.
