OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1928-1931 Ford Model A replaced the ubiquitous Model T, and thanks to its modern design, it became both an automotive legend, and a pioneering hot rod.
The Model A was larger, had a longer wheelbase, and offered cutting-edge features like a 40-horsepower, 200 cu-in four cylinder, an electric starter, and a three-speed transmission. It was produced in coupe, convertible, sedan, and truck body styles, and over four million were made in its four-year production run. But what really impressed gearheads was the ease of customization, and it wasn’t long before flathead Fords became America’s most popular hot rods.
This clean, highly modified example pays tribute to customized post-war hot rods. The 1931 body has been chopped, and heavy fabrication work was done to create slant-window styling on the windshield and non-overlapping doors. Other visual touches include a curved rear roof, unique quarter windows, 1940s Chevy taillights, and Harley-Davidson front turn signals. The body rides on an aftermarket frame with a custom independent rear suspension and four-wheel disc brakes, and a pro-built, small-block V8 provides the power. If you dream about living in hot rodding’s glory days, this could be your new reality.
