1930 Ford Model A Hot Rod Burnout

1930 Ford Model A Hot Rod Dragstrip Pass
Description
The 1928–1931 Ford Model A is one of the most important vehicles in automotive history. Designed to replace the groundbreaking Model T, the stylish Model A was a bridge between modern cars and their more primitive predecessors. The Model A was a longer car with a longer wheelbase, came standard with a rugged steel chassis, electric starter, and three-speed transmission, and was offered in coupe, convertible, sedan, and truck body styles. In four years, more than four million were produced.
And while its 200 cu-in four cylinder only produced 40 horsepower, Fords and the flatheads that powered them went on to become legends as America’s quintessential hot rods.
This Pro Street Model A proudly represents those early street/strip machines. The body was completely disassembled, stripped, chopped, and repainted. A narrowed aftermarket frame was enhanced with a lowered performance suspension, rack and pinion steering, and disc brakes. And a beefed-up transmission and rear end were installed, to handle a supercharged, dual-quad V8. Replete with a killer stance, retro rims, and a hood scoop, this mean Model A will make anyone the envy of cruise nights, a serious competitor at the dragstrip, and a tire-burning ambassador for hot rodders everywhere.

Ownership History
The consigner purchased this 1930 Ford Model A Tudor in 1996, then started an eight-year restoration. This Model A was rebuilt as a Pro Street-style hot rod, and it was set up for use on the street and for quarter- and eighth-mile drag racing.
