Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Founded in the 1970s in Hallandale, Florida, Classic Motor Carriages (CMC) was a kit car manufacturer that offered a range of replicas of classic automobiles including the AC Cobra, Bugatti Type 35, and Porsche 356 Speedster, as well as their own bespoke kits such as the CMC Gazelle. Taking styling cues from the Mercedes-Benz SSK, the Gazelle wore a fiberglass body with a long hood and sweeping fenders for an evocative vintage silhouette. Other details like its chrome (non-functional) side exhausts, grille, and wire wheel covers enhanced its classic appearance. Underneath, the mechanicals of a Chevrolet Chevette, including a 1.6-liter four-cylinder Chevrolet engine and automatic transmission, provide power for this particular example.
