1995 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon Ride Along
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The legendary Roadmaster nameplate returned to the Buick lineup in 1991 and brought with it enormous proportions, a plush cabin, and a big V8, harkening back to the pre-oil crisis land yachts of the 1950s and ’60s. In Estate Wagon form, the new Roadmaster offered sofa-like seating for eight, thanks to a collapsible rear-facing third seat, 92.4 cubic feet of storage space (with a tailgate that can open both down and sideways), and a plethora of standard luxury equipment.
From 1994 on, the Roadmaster was powered by the same 5.7-liter LT1 V8 engine found in the C4 Corvette, offering 80 additional horsepower while also improving fuel economy. Production came to an end in 1996, marking the last full-size, body-on-frame, rear-wheel drive station wagon produced by an American automaker, and making these cruisers highly sought after as the last in a generation of excessively opulent American automobiles.
