Description

The CJ-5 was introduced by Kaiser in late 1954. As it was based on the Korean War M-38A1, the CJ-5 was built with strong, off-road-capable components. However, its styling featured a softer, more rounded look for the consumer market, and its longer 81-inch wheelbase also made it more comfortable. Jeep drivetrains were further refined, with the 1967 CJ-5 offering engines like the original 75-hp “Hurricane” F-head four-cylinder and the 160-hp Dauntless V6, as well as improved manual transmissions and axles.

The capable CJ-5 ended up being the longest-running version of the always-improving Jeep with a 30-year production run and more than 600,000 made. The CJ-5 has also crawled its way into the hearts of enthusiasts, with numerous aftermarket parts available for this rugged 4x4.

This 1967 model is a great example of a clean CJ-5. It has been repainted in light blue, which nicely complements its aftermarket wheels and black trim.
