2006 Ford Mustang Stallion Chip Foose Custom - walkaround

2006 Ford Mustang Chip Foose - startup
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
For the all-new 2005 Ford Mustang, Ford pulled much in the way of design influences from the 1969 and 1970 Boss series and Mach 1. Although the exterior was decidedly retro, the underpinnings were entirely new for the first time in 25 years. The new chassis structure used MacPherson struts for the independent front suspension and a three-link live rear axle. Stopping was handled by power-assisted vented disc brakes front and rear. Nationally-known custom car builder and designer Chip Foose saw the Mustang shape as an excellent starting point for his own take on the legendary American pony car called the "Stallion." Although Foose retained the basic Mustang shape, he changed the look by redesigning the front and rear fascias, grille, rear lighting, and hood. He also added C-pillar ducts, revised side marker lights, and a new rear spoiler of his own design. Foose's shop was well-equipped to build a single custom car or rod, but it wasn't set up to accommodate a production run. As a result, he partnered with Unique Performance to assist in the engineering and development of the Stallion as well as to manage all marketing activities. Detroit-based Tecstar accepted responsibility for the engineering, validation, and assembly of the special Mustangs.
