Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The Volvo 200 Series was introduced in the autumn of 1974 and almost instantaneously cemented itself as a cult-classic. Beloved by commuters and car enthusiasts alike, the boxy, slab-sided 200 won customers over with its populist and practical design, and later with its race-derived turbocharged power in the GLT Turbo. Nicknamed the “brick” for its shape but also its incredibly robust build quality, the 200 Series is considered by many to be the most reliable car ever built. As a testament to that claim, this 1982 240 DL two-door sedan has covered an impressive 189,692 miles at the time of cataloging. Because they are so bulletproof, examples like this are still on the road and remain an affordable, practical entry into vintage car ownership.
RADwood Ready
RADwood is a festival that focuses on the culture and vehicles of the 1980s and 1990s. RADwood, and the “RADwood Era” are now commonly used to reference this period of bodacious automotive history.
Hagerty took stewardship of RADwood in March of 2022 to build on the company’s purpose to save driving and car culture while expanding and supporting inspiring experiences for automotive enthusiasts.
