Description
The Mercury Cougar is where wild meets elegance via a sporting luxury car with handsome European-inspired styling. Bold new styling for 1970 incorporated an overall longer car with a lengthed road-smoothing wheelbase. The distinctive split front grille made a reappearance, while the tail lights were revised, incorporating a vertical bar design. An assortment of V8s allowed the buyer to choose the ideal power plant, starting with the 351 cu-in to the fiery CJ 428-4V with ram air induction. Accompanying the engine choices was a lengthy options list that allowed buyers to choose whether they wanted to create a luxurious coupe, to a potent muscle car.

Ownership History
This 1970 Mercury Cougar was purchased by the current owner in 2017 from a large collector car dealer in Oregon. At the time of purchase, the selling dealer completed many maintenance items to return this Cougar back to the open road after it lay dormant for an extended period of time.
