Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Toward the end of its third generation, Pontiac’s performance leader, the Firebird, received numerous performance and styling updates. From 1989, Trans Am, GTA, and Formula trims were made available with an upgraded 5.7-liter ‘L98’ V8 shared with the Corvette and featuring new dual catalytic converters. The penultimate model year (1991) saw cosmetic improvements including a new nose design inspired somewhat by the Banshee IV concept car, and a wraparound rear deck “Aero Spoiler” on Trans Am and Formula models. Other standard features which set the Formula trim apart were a domed hood, Formula graphics, 16-inch “Deep Dish Hi-Tech Turbo” wheels, and “Level III” suspension.
RADwood Ready
RADwood is a festival that focuses on the culture and vehicles of the 1980s and 1990s. RADwood, and the “RADwood Era” are now commonly used to reference this period of bodacious automotive history.
Hagerty took stewardship of RADwood in March of 2022 to build on the company’s purpose to save driving and car culture while expanding and supporting inspiring experiences for automotive enthusiasts.
