Two-Owner 25k-mile 1982 Chevrolet Corvette Collector Edition Hatchback
Description
To commemorate the final model year of the C3-generation Corvette, Chevrolet offered a special Collector Edition Hatchback model for 1982 only—the most expensive Corvette ever offered at the time, with a price starting at $22,537.59. Corvette production moved from the aged St. Louis plant during 1981, and the Collector’s Edition was the new Bowling Green, Kentucky, plant’s opportunity to show off its state-of-the-art water-based paint system with the unique Silver-Beige Metallic paint. It also featured an exclusive hatch rear window, matching Silver-Beige Metallic multi-tone leather interior, “fading shadow” gradient treatment on the hood, fenders, and doors, and cloisonné emblems. A dual throttle-body fuel injection (TBI) 350 cubic-inch Chevy small-block V8 paired with a new 700-4R four-speed automatic transmission powered the full Corvette range for its final model year before the introduction of the C4 in 1984.
This 1982 Corvette Collector Edition Hatchback has just two caretakers, the original owner and her daughter, showing 25,013 miles from new. It rides on reproduction wheels and tires, but the originals from this genuine Chevrolet are included.
