Description
Chevrolet’s response to Ford’s pony car was worth the two-year wait, the Camaro proving to be a worthy answer to the Mustang with strong sales numbers and racking up wins on the race track. The changes from 1967 to 1968 were subtle and included restyled headlights and taillights, rectangular side mirrors, and a new grille on non-RS models. In the 55 years since the 1968 Camaro went out of production, and thanks to the immense popularity of the performance models, many non-RS/SS cars have been restored and modified with larger engines, performance upgrades, and RS/SS-inspired cosmetic enhancements. This 1968 Camaro Convertible comes from a recent ground-up restoration during which it was tastefully transformed to have an SS appearance, including side stripes, SS grille and badging, and Rally wheels.
