1929 LaSalle Series 328 Convertible - startup
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Arriving in the Motor City in 1927 to work at General Motors Detroit offices on the design of the new LaSalle, automotive designer Harley J. Earl would remain with General Motors for another 32 years before retiring as GM’s Director of Design. Quickly proving his talents, Earl was named the first director of the newly formed “Art and Color Section” of General Motors which offered LaSalle customers a handsome design paired with a daring palette of color combinations with up to 543 options between body, fender, and pin striping colors. Weighing nearly a thousand pounds less than its Cadillac sibling provided a remarkably nimble driving experience paired with flathead-head V8 power and a design from one of the most significant designers in automotive history.
