427-Powered Backdraft Cobra Walk Around and Driving
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1960s Shelby Cobras were the original supercars. But because of their incredible power, light weight, short wheelbase, so-so suspension, and primitive tire technology, only a professional driver had the skills to extract the best performance from one — and many drivers just got bit.
Thankfully, that was then. Today, Backdraft Racing’s Roadster combines the timeless styling of the original Cobra, with modern chassis, drivetrain, suspension, braking, and tire technology. Backdraft’s machine starts with a strong chassis featuring a two-inch-longer wheelbase, which adds more stability. A fully independent suspension features a multilink setup in the rear, along with coilover shocks for precise control over varied road surfaces. Four-wheel disc brakes haul this machine down from ludicrous speeds quickly, and big, knock-off-style wheels wear sticky modern rubber.
This sleek black Backdraft Roadster features a leather interior with classic-look gauges. Most importantly, this sub-2,700-pound machine is powered by a fuel-injected 427 cu-in V8. With the same analog driving experience and a higher performance envelope, Backdraft has created a safer, more manageable Cobra that will outrun all but the fastest supercars on the road.
