Magnus Walker - ROTTERDAM Outlaw!
Description
Upon its debut, the Porsche 911 was virtually destined to be a race car and a successful one at that! With almost instant involvement from the motorsport department, GT racing victories began piling up for the new 911 throughout the 1960s and early 70s. By 1974 it was a foregone conclusion that the new ‘G-Modell’ configuration would be designed and reengineered with international endurance racing in mind. Delivering on those expectations, the 1974 racing season saw the debut of both the 911 Carrera RS 3.0 and Carrera RSR. 1975 featured a more powerful RSR evolution and by 1976 the ‘Typ 934’ Turbo RSR made its debut.
Why the mid-1970’s Porsche GT racing history lesson? This 911’s former owner, Magnus Walker, a knowledgeable Porsche enthusiast if there ever was one, was inspired to create this 911 by the powerful, exaggerated styling found on those very same 1970s race cars. Personal choices and design details from Walker abound on this custom build 1974 911 with this hot rod featuring many of the ideas, period-correct touches, and technical features associated with the famous trend setter’s other equally famous period Porsche builds as well as those world-famous and successful Porsche factory racing cars. A noted Porsche performance driving instructor at his home track of Willow Springs in California, Walker would be sure that the modifications made to this 1974 911 - just like Porsche - would be show and go.

Ownership History
Purchased by noted Porsche collector Magnus Walker in the 2000s this 1974 Porsche 911 was one of an early group of a small series of 911s modified by the famous Urban Outlaw. Sold by Walker in 2008, it was initially purchased by a collector in France; it was later acquired by a Dutch collector. Under Dutch ownership the car received an APP-Automotive overhauled 3.2-liter engine and 915 transmission. The car was reworked in 2014 when it received a repaint and additional period-correct updates and modifications, most notably 3.3-liter 911 Turbo suspension components and brakes, an RSR-style exhaust system, and corduroy upholstered bucket seats suitable for continental R Gruppe trips in within Europe. Most recently it was re-imported into the United States in the summer of 2022 by the consignor.
