Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The first Winnebago motorhomes left the factory gates in 1966, capitalizing on young American families’ renewed fascination with recreational travel in the 1950s and ‘60s. Among Winnebago’s offerings in 1968 was the mid-size D-22, named for its 22-foot length, which was fully self-contained, ready for backroad travel. It included kitchenette, pressurized water system with toilet, sink and shower and sleeping accommodations for six. Powered by a robust Dodge V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission with high clearance and tight turning radius, the D-22 was capable of trekking cross-country with ease. Today, the D-22 still offers an ideal entry point into RV ownership for a small family looking to embark on their next adventure.

Ownership History
The consignor reports purchasing this 1968 Winnebago D-22 from her father in 1989, who had the motorhome on loan from the original owner beginning in 1975 and purchased the motorhome in 1988. The Winnebago was used by the consignor and her family from 1991-2000 for six to eight-week trips every other year for a National Park stay and for short back country trips in off years throughout the Southern Oregon region. Since 2000, the motorhome has been held in climate-controlled storage. Before 2000 it was kept in carport.
