1967 Ford Bronco Half-Cab Pickup
Description
In addition to many war-time production efforts, Ford was responsible for producing more than 250,000 Jeeps for World War II, which after the end of the war, began making their way back to US soil where they became popular among veterans and outdoor enthusiasts. Looking to seize this opportunity, Ford began work on what they imagined as the world’s first sport-utility vehicle which not only would be capable off-road, but also provide superior comfort necessary to navigate the improving highway system. Offered in a variety of body styles, the Bronco was first offered in 1965, advertised as the vehicle that was ready to do, “what you want to do… where you want to do it”. The first generation Bronco was available in either Wagon, Roadster, or the 1966 and 1967-only Pickup configuration. Overall similar to the Bronco Wagon, the Pickup variant featured an open rear cargo box with lightweight removable roof and a wide range of accessories available to help the owner tackle any project. In production for over thirty years across five different generations, the Bronco established a devoted following which allowed Ford to recently bring back the model for a sixth generation in 2021.
