Description
Ford’s F-series pickup trucks are seemingly eternal, having been in the consciousness of American automotive enthusiasts since the late 1940’s. By 1961, the F-Series evolved into what we collectively know and love as a pickup when it entered its fourth generation. These 1961-1966 F-100s were defined by a restyle that featured a long, low exterior appearance and increased dimensions. By 1965 the F-100 received a ‘Twin I-Beam’ front suspension, a design that remained a part of Ford’s light-duty trucks until 1996. With the proliferation of these sturdy trucks across the American landscape and a community of enthusiasts and parts suppliers, fourth generation F-Series pickups are ripe for modification, as it is with this restomod F-100.
