Description
The C4 generation of Chevrolet Corvette has a reputation of being one of the best-balanced and well-built American sports cars of its time. In addition, it was able to challenge a number of European and Asian competitors at a fraction of the cost. By 1995, the LT1 V8 under the hood provided the driver with both robust power and torque as well as proven reliability. When matched with the optional six-speed manual transmission, which this particular example has, it is an absolute treasure on the road. This model has proven itself over decades of development to be applicable in a number of environments. One can enjoy the car as a reliable daily driver with leather seats, air-conditioning, and a quiet cabin, but lurking is a capable track machine ready to be unleashed.
Chassis #7732 has recently gone through a service in preparation for this NO RESERVE auction so that interested buyers can bid with confidence. The request was put in to look over all systems first and then address a few service items. It received an engine oil and filter change, serpentine belt and air filter replacement, coolant flush, and a charge of the air-conditioning system. New tires were also put on in 2020, which have not seen many miles, making this Corvette ready to enjoy.
As described in the videos attached, the driving experience is excellent. Low-speed cruising around town is easy, with smooth shifts and a quiet cabin. When given the opportunity to open up the throttle and enjoy the 5.7-liter V8, the car is planted and ready to be taken through its paces. This generation Corvette is nimble and tossable, yet just as satisfying as a highway cruiser.
