1974 Toyota FJ40 Walk Around Video
Description
The Japanese counterpart to the famed WWII era Willys Jeep, Toyota would launch their FJ series of utility vehicles in 1960 which shortly after official importation began in 1963 would become hands-down the best-selling Toyota offering in America. When production would end in 1983, the FJ Land Cruiser would remain largely unchanged visually, with only minor tweaks and functional improvements adapted over the years. Produced in both open-top or a fully enclosed two-door wagon, these FJ40s proved to be an excellent platform for secondary modification. This has also developed an established aftermarket community for the Land Cruiser which allows for a vast selection of basic lighting upgrades to even full-fledged engine swaps which remove the robust yet underpowered petrol or diesel six-cylinders, typically in favor of easily accessible and affordable American horsepower. Used in many different applications across the globe, the Toyota Land Cruiser maintains a devoted following of off-road enthusiasts thanks to its renowned dependability and charming utilitarian appearance.
