1960 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk I BT7 Idle and Walk Around Video

Description
A classic British sports car, the 3000 MK I was a lightweight drivers car introduced by Austin-Healey in 1959. Available in both a ‘family friendly’ 2+2 or sporty 2-seater Roadster variant, the 3000 would replace the handsome Austin-Healey 100/4 which entered the market in 1953. An upgraded 2912 cc straight-six engine helped the 3000 achieve improved acceleration along with upgraded disc brakes for the front wheels. These excellent handling characteristics found themselves very useful on the road and surprisingly off-road in many successful rallies including a podium finish at the 1960 Liège-Rome-Liège rally over some of Europe's toughest mountain roads. This upgraded engine also heavily targeted the lucrative North American market with wide-open roads to welcome the increase in horsepower. Offered with a redesigned front fascia with a stylish new grill, the low-slung two-seater roadster would remain in production for only a few years before production was shifted to solely 2+2 configuration. One of the ultimate British sports cars, the Austin-Healy 3000 offers a truly connected open-air driving experience free of any driver-aids to spoil the fun.
