LS-Powered 1985 Chevrolet Blazer 4x4
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
While Jeep, International, and Ford had been making small off-road vehicles, it was GM who took the lead in scaling up small off-road-oriented, multi-purpose vehicles to the half-ton pickup platform with the introduction of the Chevrolet K5 Blazer in 1969. Essentially a K10 pickup with a short integral box as part of the interior, the K5 Blazer pioneered the pickup-based SUV. An easily unbolted fiberglass top or a more uncommon vinyl soft top with a tailgate/liftgate configuration in the back made for an eminently usable cargo area. For the second generation, the Blazer’s top was abbreviated, only covering the rear section aft of the cab, remaining largely unchanged until production ended in 1991.
