Description
Introduced in 1955, the ‘Blue Chip’ GMC Series 100 offered timeless styling paired with classic dependability. Offered as an upscale version of the Chevrolet Task Force, these pickup trucks were some of the first examples to boast ‘passenger car comfort and conveniences' such as a panoramic wrap-around windshield and luxury-type seats adjustable for individual posture. The Blue Chip Series would also bring updated ‘Speedline’ styling with concealed running boards and chrome bumpers. Offered in three variations from the half-ton 100 series up to a full one-ton 250 series, Blue Chip models would utilize a range of economical Power-Plus engines available in either six or eight cylinders.

Ownership History
This vehicle was purchased by the current owner in September of 2021 from a family which had owned the truck for over 40 years. While the majority of the restoration work performed to this GMC was done under previous ownership, some mechanical work has been completed by the current owner to improve driveability. The current owner reports a lack of time to both work on and use this vehicle as the main reason for selling.
