2003 Mercedes-Benz SL 500 Walk-Around

2003 Mercedes-Benz SL 500 Convertible Top Operation
Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
When launched, the “R230” was just the fifth generation of the illustrious Mercedes-Benz SL series. The hallowed SL name can trace its lineage back to the original 300 SL “Gullwing” Coupe of the 1950s, through the redesigned W113-generation “Pagoda,” the long-lived R107 of the 1970s and ‘80s, before reaching the R129 of the 1990s. All of these cars continued the tradition of crafting the finest two-seat sports coupes and roadsters Mercedes-Benz had to offer. The new generation incorporated more innovative technologies, including a “Vario Roof,” the first power folding hard top ever seen on an SL. Available with a wide selection of engines, including AMG-tuned models that offered an even sportier experience.

Ownership History
This 2003 Mercedes-Benz SL 500 was sold new at Mercedes Benz of St. Charles, Illinois, in late 2003. While with its original owner, there was a minor damage report noted on the included CARFAX Vehicle History Report that states the car hit an animal in 2013. Following this, the car remained under the stewardship of its original owner until March 2021. It was then retained by its second owner until September 2022, when it was purchased by its current owner, just the third since 2003.
