M3 Convertible Top Operation
Description
The E46 M3 has rapidly ascended to modern collectable status, thanks in no small part to its timeless good looks, excellent driving dynamics, and one of the best engines ever fitted to an M car, the straight-six ‘S54.’ Arriving with the new millennium, the third-generation M3 was stiffer, faster, and more focused than its predecessor, which had lost some of the all-out performance of the original E30 M3. The addictive power and noise of the naturally aspirated straight-six engine silenced any doubts about the badge’s legend, and today the E46 remains the definitive M3 model for many. Along with its performance, the interior was spacious and practical, comfortably seating four with ample room for luggage in the impressively large trunk. The result was a true ‘do it all’ sports car which was especially true in the open-top convertible version, allowing enthusiasts to take full advantage of the warmer months.
