Description
The Cadillac Brougham, offered from 1990 through 1992 is often described as ‘the last true’ vintage Cadillac. Like all important Cadillacs, the full-size Brougham was designed and built with comfort, style, and power as key features. In fact, it was marketed by Cadillac as, ‘the next best thing to owning your own Cadillac limousine.’ This was especially true when ordered as a d'Elegance with its exclusive button tufted full leather seating and Tampico carpet, appointments emblematic of a true full-size Cadillac. The first styling update since the Fleetwood Brougham was restyled ten years earlier, 1990 saw a new digital instrument dashboard cluster, composite headlamps, new tail lamp lenses, flush bumper moldings, and new lower body moldings featuring throughout. Finally, aware that true luxury is the combination of style and power, Cadillac offered the Brougham with two fuel-injected, V8 engines, 5.0 and 5.7-liter. Very few Broughams were optioned with the larger, more powerful engine due to a gas guzzler tax, and today the combination of a restyled full-size Brougham, d’Elegance trim, and the 5.7-liter engine is as rare as it is desirable.
